The Tampa Bay area is a great place to live. Lets take a moment and look at some popular places to call home.
Lets begin with the city of Tampa- Home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Tampa Bay Lightning. One of the largest ports in the world and port to several cruise ships. We are honored to have MacDill Airforce Base that is located on the south side of the city. Some residence live on Davis Island which is connected by bridge to downtown Tampa. Others live in Hyde Park just off Bayshore Blvd that follows the contour of the Bay. University of Tampa sets just west of downtown and is home of one of the best business schools in the country. Tampa has it all...professional sports, university, businesses and beautiful homes.
Across the bay is a barrier island. This is where you find St. Petersburg and Clearwater. Home of the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team. Nationally rated beaches attract tourists and locals. Tropical condominiums, hotels and waterfront properties make you feel you are in a different world. If you love the water, this is the place to live.
To the east of Tampa Bay is Brandon. What use to be a dairy farm town is now the hub of eastern Hillsborough County. Shopping mall, restaurants and easy commute into Tampa, makes this a very desirable area to call home.
South of Brandon you will find the quaint town of Riverview. Sitting on the Alafia River with easy access to Tampa Bay for fishing or water sports. Easy access to downtown Tampa while keeping the river atmosphere makes this one of the best places to live.
Just east of there is the hidden secret of the area- Fishhawk Ranch. Located in Lithia, Fishhawk Ranch is a planned unit development with all the amenities. Top elementary school in the state for 2009 feeds the middle school and the sought after Newsome High School. This development has shopping, fitness center, concerts, aquatic centers and over 30 miles of paved trails all nestled in the charming southern oak trees. This is the area we call home. A shuttle takes our military service members to and from MacDill Air Force Base. A 35-40 minute commute puts you into downtown Tampa via the Crosstown Expressway. If you are looking for that special place to call home and raise your children, Fishhawk Ranch is that place.
